About the role
Miller Electric is seeking a Project Administrator who reports directly to Senior Project Leadership. This role is project-based, working directly from a construction site office. The Project Administrator will work with the Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers to provide project support.
Salary Range: $30/hr-$35/hr
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain project billing records, including but not limited to requesting new job numbers from accounting, maintaining billing/work order spreadsheets, and billing through various electronic invoicing systems as required by the customers, which may also include closing work tickets.
- Type, prepare, and/or create various memos, faxes, emails, reports, calendars, schedules, project documents, meeting minutes, and/or other documents; distribute to facilitate day-to-day project or business administration.
- Process project contracts through the Contracts Department.
- Coordinate arrangements for special meetings and training on an as-needed basis.
- Provide word processing and spreadsheet support for managers.
- Assist in collecting outstanding invoices.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain project billing and contract maintenance books.
- Provide a professionally maintained office environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of trust and confidentiality with sensitive items.
- Positive attitude and the ability to work with and learn from others.
- Computer skills to include: word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.
- Skill in organizing and establishing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload accordingly.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Construction industry (preferred).
- Experience with MS Suite (preferred).
- Experience using COINs (preferred).
- Experience with Schedule of Values (AIA docs) (preferred).
- Project management assistant experience (preferred).
- Accounting experience (preferred).
