Project Accounting Technician
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepares monthly invoices and billing statements for clients for multiple companies.
- Researches billing discrepancies with clients and helps maintain client aging reports.
- Ensures responsiveness to client requirements and timely completion of milestones.
- Reconciles company credit cards.
- Prepares business expense reports.
- Aids in invoice coding and approvals.
- Pulls job cost reports.
- Works with accounting team to meet fiscal deadlines.
- Generates purchase orders, subcontracts, and work orders for various projects.
- Maintains comprehensive project documentation (Subcontractor Certificates of Insurance, Certified Payrolls, Daily Reports, etc.).
- Aids in project close-outs.
- Makes travel arrangements.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Accounting or related field.
- Related experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- 2 years relevant experience.
- Experience working with large, multi-subsidiary companies preferred.
- Experience with Sage 300 (Timberline) and Timberscan desirable.
Skills and Abilities
- General knowledge of accounting principles.
- Organized with good analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
- Exercise high level of independent judgment and direction.
- Good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team.
- Proficient in the Microsoft suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively under moderate supervision.
Education
Associates Degree in Accounting or related field. Related experience will be considered in lieu of degree. 2 years relevant experience.
