Responsibilities

  • Aid in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Aid in credit card transaction recording and reconciliation.
  • Aid the controller with the month-end close process.
  • Review general ledger for possible reclassification of miscoded entries.
  • Review and/or prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare necessary journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and analyze outstanding items for resolution.
  • Perform general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
  • Aid the controller in preparing for independent audits.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Associate’s degree in Accounting, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years accounting experience required, construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (with strong emphasis on Excel), industry software, and accounting software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
