About the role
The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing project financials, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for assigned projects.
- Oversee project budgets and monitor expenditures against budgeted amounts.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections for all projects.
- Collaborate with project managers to track project progress and adjust budgets as necessary.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Experience with project management tools such as Asana or Trello.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
