Project Accountant

About the role

Responsibilities

• Aid in the accounting and processing of payables for subcontractor invoices
• Support the project close process
• Track lien waivers, retention payments, and vendor/sub inquiries
• Collaborate with Project Managers on the billing process using the Timberline billing module
• Contribute to job cost processes through the Timberline job module
• Assist with collections and recording of cash
• Participate in month-end closing
• Support the development and implementation of internal controls, policies, and procedures

Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent accounting experience
• Accredited four-year college degree with major coursework in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Preferred construction industry experience
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Sage/Timberline accounting software is a plus

Pay

$90,000 - $100,000 annually

This is a full-time, in-office position based in our San Jose office, located in Santana Row.
