About the role
We are a Manhattan-based midsize, principal-led GC building some of New York City’s most complex large-scale, mixed-use, hospitality, and residential projects. We’re hiring a Staff Project Accountant to join our finance team and support project managers on a portfolio of active jobs. This is an in-office full-time position based in Midtown.
Responsibilities
- Prepare AIA G702/G703 owner billings and supporting documentation
- Review and process subcontractor pay applications, lien waivers, and insurance certificates
- Maintain job cost data, change order logs, and contract compliance files
- Support PMs with monthly cost reports and reconciliations
- Track subcontractor compliance (W-9s, COIs, vendor setup)
- Assist with month-end close and ad-hoc projects for the Controller
Requirements
- 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in construction or a related project-based industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Working knowledge of Sage 300 CRE (Timberline), Procore, or similar construction ERPs a plus
- Strong Excel skills and an eye for detail
- Someone who wants to learn the trade from the ground up at a high-performing firm

Pay
$85,000 – $95,000 per year
