Progressive Care Manager

Job Summary

The Nursing Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered nursing care through 24/7 responsibility for the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Nursing Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.

Major Responsibilities

• Manages nursing practice and unit operations.
• Makes sure the provision of nursing care follows the rules and procedures.
• Uses new ideas to make sure patients get better care.
• Promotes teamwork among doctors, nurses, and other helpers.
• Finds ways to save money and be more efficient.
• Looks after the people who work here and helps them grow.
• Handles problems that come up and makes sure everyone is treated fairly.
• Manages how many people work on the unit and makes sure they have what they need.
• Works with the community to help people stay healthy.

Education & Experience

• A degree in a healthcare field or an RN diploma is required.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience is needed.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in clinical specialty, or RN Diploma Required.
• 1+ years applicable experience Required.
