Responsibilities

• Reports to the Deputy Warden.
• Performs a variety of secretarial and clerical duties, including dictation and transcription of correspondence, reports and other documents.
• Receives telephone calls and visitors; tactfully refers them to proper individual if designated supervisor is not available.
• Maintains calendar of events, schedules, appointments and takes minutes of meetings.
• Copies and distributes correspondence control log and coordinates preparation of special reports.
• Maintains central library of required documents, handbooks, directives, facility operating procedures, etc.; ensures distribution to designated staff.
• Coordinates meeting arrangements such as time, place, attendees and matter to be discussed.
• Maintains accountability of inmates and property; adheres to safety practices.
• Participates in the development of new and revised facility operating procedures in compliance with corporate procedures.
