Interview Process
In-person and virtual. First round will be a 30-minute virtual interview focusing on technical and soft skills. Second round will be in person and mostly technical. Interviews will involve the manager and members of the development team.
Location Requirement
Candidates MUST be local to the Lansing, Michigan area (within 90 miles) at the time of submission. This requirement is non-negotiable. Resource must meet all these requirements from the beginning.
Responsibilities
As a Salesforce Developer, you'll be comfortable with the development, design, and implementation of customizable Salesforce solutions based on CRM needs. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Hands-on CRM development supporting crisis call workflows, including coding and delivering user stories
- Work with colleagues, customers, and end users to define technical requirements for new projects and future enhancements
- Ensure technical requirements align with established customer requirements and performance goals while maintaining consistency with long-term strategy
- Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new updates to existing applications and code
- Maintain overall technical responsibility for project environments
- Compile internal development guidelines and standards for the development team and ensure adherence
- Collaborate with developers from other systems to support business integrations
- Ensure proposed solutions adhere to security guidelines and standards throughout the application lifecycle
- Deliver business value by leveraging technology and effectively communicating strategic technical concepts
- Devise a training plan for the development team for a smooth transition to Maintenance & Operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge and working experience in Service Cloud and Experience Cloud
- Participation in each phase of the full Salesforce.com lifecycle implementation
- In-depth understanding of Salesforce capabilities and constraints
- Strong hands-on experience writing Apex, Visualforce pages, Apex Triggers, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components
- Knowledge of implementing no-code solutions using Flows, Process Builder, Workflow Rules, etc.
- Work with technical managers, architects, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement technical solutions
- Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with cloud-based and on-premises applications using standard and custom REST APIs
- Good experience with HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML
- Hands-on experience implementing authentication protocols (OAuth) for third-party integrations
- Experience implementing Batch Apex and/or Scheduled Apex
- Ownership of end-to-end Salesforce technical aspects including data migrations, data quality, system integrations, third-party applications, AppExchange products, and custom development
- Define, communicate, and manage technical change management and release processes
- Assess Salesforce architecture and provide secure, high-performance technical solutions on the Force.com platform
- Design and document technical architecture solutions spanning multiple platforms, including integration and authentication
- Support SFDX development, branch management, merging, and code deployment activities using Azure DevOps CI/CD
- Identify technical risks and issues

Required Skills
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Salesforce, including SFDX and the Salesforce Development Lifecycle
- 6+ years of strong Salesforce development experience
- 4+ years of experience developing within the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, HTML5, and JavaScript
- 5+ years of experience working with Service Cloud and/or Health Cloud
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning, including LWC
Preferred Skills
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
- Experience with Conga and Drawloop
Other Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Salesforce, including SFDX and the Salesforce Development Lifecycle
- 6+ years of strong Salesforce development experience
- 4+ years of experience developing within the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, HTML5, and JavaScript
- 5+ years of experience working with Service Cloud and/or Health Cloud
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning, including LWC
- 2+ years of experience with API integrations and Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations
- Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps or comparable tools for requirements tracking, CI/CD, or release management
- Exposure to data migration and/or cloud integration projects
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Administrator
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
- Additional experience that is beneficial but not required, including:
- Experience with Conga and Drawloop
- Familiarity with governmental processes and compliance, including prior experience working with FedRAMP-compliant tools and environments
