Program Therapist Young Adult IOP PT Days
About the role
Butler Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Program Therapist to join the Young Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Team. The Young Adult IOP treats individuals aged 18–26 who are struggling with mental health challenges and need the additional support of group therapy to stabilize and improve functioning. The program curriculum integrates aspects of CBT, ACT, DBT, and Schema Therapy, with a strong focus on resiliency and ownership of personal progress. Primary presenting concerns include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and adult transition adjustment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct two group therapy sessions per program evening (three evenings a week). Groups are both didactic and process-oriented and follow a structured curriculum (training provided).
- Perform initial psychiatric evaluations for new patient admissions.
- Provide weekly therapy check-in sessions for a caseload of patients enrolled in the program.
Requirements
- RI LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT preferred.
Schedule
Part-time, 20 hours weekly: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 11:30 AM – 7:00 PM. Consistent opportunities to pick up additional hours in partial hospital programs, potentially up to full-time.
