Program Support Coordinator - STAHR Program, UMKC School of Medicine

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Program Manager and Program Director by executing the day-to-day activities for all STAHR Programs;
  • Record and maintain program attendance, outcomes and evaluation data;
  • Oversee communications for the STAHR Program for all constituents, including but not limited to students, faculty & staff, health professional schools, community organizations, and UMKC and its affiliates. In addition, periodically update the program’s website;
  • Aid with program recruitment for high school and collegiate level students, which includes targeted outreach initiatives at local high schools, college institutions and community organizations;
  • Aid with day-to-day supervision of student employees, including STAHR graduate assistants;
  • Create and deliver educational presentations/activities;
  • Support other pipeline initiatives in the School of Medicine, such as the Saturday Academy Program;
  • Adhere to grant expectations, policies and procedures, etc.; resolve issues that may arise; recommend and execute initiatives and strategies;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualifications: A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
  • Preferred qualifications: 2 + years of experience in related field or industry, Experience in project or grant management, program planning and implementation, Experience in higher education, business, non-profit or community programs, Understanding or direct experience with health professions programs, Experience working with disadvantaged populations, Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Qualifications
