Responsibilities
- Aid the Assistant Director of Independent Living with supervision of direct care staff.
- Conduct supervision meetings, coach, and mentor staff for skill development.
- Provide interim coverage during the absence of the Assistant Director of Independent Living.
- Communicate with on-call and management staff about care concerns, staffing issues, and program needs.
- Ensure services and documentation comply with regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies.
- Transport individuals to and from medical, recreational, and other activities.
- Maintain petty cash and manage spending within budgetary limits.
- Supervise and manage data collection.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with DDS and other vendors.
- Maintain sites according to DDS, CARF, and agency standards.
- Create opportunities for individuals to make decisions and foster independence.
- Maintain appropriate certifications (e.g., First Aid, CPR, OSHA, Fire Safety, Human Rights, PABC, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred OR Associate's degree with at least 2 years' experience in a similar direct care role.
- High school diploma with at least 3-5 years' experience in a similar direct care role.
- Previous experience in a similar supervisor/leadership role.
- Understanding of clinical needs of the people served.
- Working knowledge of ASD population.
- Valid US driver's license and one year of driving experience.
Qualifications
- Ability to assist in supervising staff to performance standards.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and one year of driving experience.
- Excellent verbal communications skills.
- Computer literacy to include proficiency in Microsoft products and web-based applications.
