This position provides day-to-day coordination for a federally funded personnel preparation project that supports paraeducators in completing degree and certification requirements to become special education teachers. The role reports to the Principal Investigator and works closely with project faculty, university offices, mentors, school partners, and scholars.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate office operations
- Document and track program schedules and business cycles
- Plan and coordinate program meetings and events
- Support program planning and may assist with the development of operating budgets and/or funding proposals
- Research and compile information for communications such as talking points, speech scripts, and responses to correspondence and presentations
- Coordinate collection of data and materials for reports and other administrative documents
- Develop and maintain positive liaison relationships with various offices, customers, and stakeholders including internal and advisory boards
- May assist with budget management and provide support for financial and/or personnel processes
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Three years providing administrative, business operations, and/or program support
- Composing, proofing, and editing a variety of documents, using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials
- Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email, and internet research
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required at time of hire)
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, administration, project management, student services, or a related field
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Knowledge of special education, disability services, educator preparation, or teacher certification
- Experience supporting paraeducators, adult learners, or other nontraditional students
- Experience with grant administration, budget tracking, program evaluation, or data reporting
- Experience working with rural or community-based education partners
- Experience coordinating a program, project, grant, or student-support initiative
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively with varied stakeholders
- Experience maintaining records, tracking activities, and preparing reports
Pay
$28.00 per hour or higher depending on experience
Schedule
Part-time (0.5 FTE, fiscal year appointment)
