About the role
Amentum is seeking a Project Supervisor to oversee daily support activities at our client site in Pearl River, NY. The successful candidate will manage facility operations, renovations, and maintenance projects, ensuring excellence in customer service and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support ongoing renovations of the existing facility.
- Identify work requiring engineering and design, and review with proper entities.
- Develop full scope and extent of work required, including cost and time estimates for repair, preventive, predictive, and improvement maintenance activities.
- Coordinate resources, service providers, and vendors for small projects.
- Improve workforce productivity and work quality by planning and coordinating subcontractor labor, parts, materials, tools, equipment, permits, and documentation.
- Manage work priority, develop job plans, define parts and materials, and engage proper resources for safe and efficient work control plans.
- Coordinate work efforts between Pfizer, Amentum, and the Science Line.
- Maintain consistent communication with management and client on key issues, resolutions, and action plans.
- Support and/or conduct formal presentations to clients and management.
- Identify potential project problems or opportunities, analyze issues, and develop optimal solutions.
- Support building operations and maintenance teams by developing cost-saving strategies and processes.
- Perform evaluations and train teams to reduce waste, operating costs, and system failures.
- Support the Facility Program Manager and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for related client sites.
- Maintain operations for critical building mechanical support systems.
- Project continuous improvement in support of budgetary initiatives.
- Provide safety leadership to ensure an accident-free workplace through established safety programs (JHA’s, THA’s, LOTO, hot work).
- Coordinate needs for new projects, equipment, or services, including labor estimates, quotes, sourcing, and process improvements.
- Manage critical repairs by vendors.
- Review new facility designs, list concerns, propose alternatives, and participate in commissioning.
- Create punch lists for issues found during commissioning and develop PM schedules for new assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Facility/Management, Maintenance Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or 8 years of experience in industrial facilities or production maintenance.
- 5 years of progressive career experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, biomedical, or research & development facility maintenance.
- Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and complete a fit test for various respirators.
- Ability to obtain a security access badge at the client’s location.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding documents and computer-based information.
- Demonstrated fluency in computer use, including the full Microsoft product line.
- Ability to obtain an appropriate state-issued driver’s license.
- Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident (no sponsorship provided).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk throughout diverse work environments.
- Work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions.
- Cope with job-related stressors to maintain performance and contribution levels.
- Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment (e.g., hospitals, biomedical, or pharmaceutical campuses).
- Experience utilizing a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
- Predictive maintenance experience, life cycle studies, knowledge of reliability maintenance programs, incident reports, and root cause analysis.
Pay
$130,000–$145,000 annually.
Schedule
Typical work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
