Job Summary
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. The Program Project Planner supports the Strategic Development organization by assisting with day-to-day marketing budget operations, coordinating end-to-end Bid and Proposal (B&P) activities, and providing critical administrative and analytical support.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Marketing Budget Support
- Affiliate with day-to-day marketing budget operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with approved budgets.
- Analyze and review cross-charges into the department, including consultants and professional services, international offices, reprographics, tradeshows and freight, advertising, demonstrations and events, travel and related expenses, memberships and sponsorships, and other marketing-related costs.
- Support forecasting and variance analysis and assist with developing departmental objectives.
- Prepare and maintain reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate budget status, spend trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
- Bid and Proposal Support
- Support end-to-end bid and proposal activities and track overall B&P budget.
- Monitor individual pursuit spending and assist with preparation of monthly reports.
- Affiliate with resolution of labor exceptions and other pursuit-related issues.
- Compliance and Administration
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial, business, and personnel information.
- Serve as a liaison between management and project teams to facilitate communication, resolve issues, and support timely completion of tasks.
Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or related discipline and three or more years of progressive professional experience in program planning, monitoring, and scheduling.
- Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
- General understanding of program planning principles and concepts, with general knowledge of industry practices.
- Customer-focused with the ability to develop solutions to complex problems.
Additional Skills And Abilities
- Strong technical skills with proficiency in: Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting), Microsoft PowerPoint (e.g., executive-level presentations), Microsoft Power BI (e.g., dashboards and data visualization).
- High level of organization and attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial data and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and guide employees, managers, and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as lead and contribute effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance is required.
