Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and submittal of various land use applications and entitlement processes across the various Counties in the State of Hawaiʻi.
- Manage the planning process and lead coordination with project clients.
- Provide clear written and oral communication within PDG-HI as well as with clients, local jurisdictional personnel and the public.
- Attend, present and/or manage presentations and meetings with the public or planning commission.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in community development, community planning, urban planning, or a related field.
- Five (5) or more years working in the field of land use planning.
- Knowledge of the Hawaiʻi planning processes across the various counties, along with their individual land use and urban planning policies and initiatives.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, along with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Experience working with the Autodesk suite of CAD programs is a plus.
