Program Manager with Security Clearance

About the role

The Building People is seeking a full-time Program Manager to support our Mission Support Services business unit. This position will work closely with senior leaders in the federal government to drive organizational strategy and execute mission-critical program management.

Responsibilities

• Delegating work, training, and ensuring quality work products are produced within established timeframes.
• Focusing on interfacing with government personnel for specific work teams.
• Coordinating the operation of departments to ensure assigned programs are completed according to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
• Communicating with customers/clients to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss program problems.
• Recruiting and hiring for the project as well as managing staff.
• Communicating with staff and subcontractors to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss program problems.
• Ensuring customers and/or clients are regularly informed of the program's status.
• Communicating with management regarding the program's status and any problems or potential problems.
• Forecasting potential schedule delays and developing alternate plans.
• Understanding project profitability and job-costing.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships based on credibility, trust, and expertise.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience with the federal government or federal partners.
• More than 5 years of project management, program management, and personnel management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Experience managing Department of Commerce contracts a plus.
• Experience with Predictive Index a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• At least ten years of related experience required.
• Salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and certifications.

Pay

$110,000 - $125,000
