About the role

The Program Manager Urban Tribal Health oversees and optimizes OCHIN’s systems, processes, initiatives, and tools to support the success of our members. This role leads strategic programs, focusing on equitable clinical, financial, and operational outcomes for OCHIN members. The Business Partner works closely with management to define program goals and ensures alignment across teams to drive successful outcomes. Responsibilities include providing consultation and technical assistance, managing grant compliance, fostering positive funder relationships, and acting as the program’s voice to ensure stakeholder communication and process alignment. This role plays a critical part in the execution of OCHIN's strategic goals and the achievement of desired outcomes for all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership & Execution: Lead the full lifecycle of strategic programs—from scoping and planning to execution and optimization—ensuring alignment with OCHIN’s mission and organizational goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, executive leadership, and external partners. Serve as the primary point of contact for program inquiries and regularly communicate progress, outcomes, and roadmaps.
  • Project & Program Governance: Apply advanced project management techniques to prioritize tasks, manage resources, mitigate risks, and uphold program governance, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.
  • Data-Driven Strategy & Continuous Improvement: Use data and analytics to guide program direction, improve deliverables, and enhance member experience. Identify opportunities to increase adoption and optimize tools, technologies, and processes.
  • Organizational Alignment & Brand Stewardship: Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and internal services. Promote a member-centric culture and uphold OCHIN’s brand integrity through consistent use of tools, documentation, and knowledge-sharing practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in women’s health and Epic software.
  • Bachelor’s degree acceptable with related program management experience.
  • Project management experience required; PMP certification preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships with Indian Health Services and other organizations in the tribal health space.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and funding programs in both Tribal and Urban Indian health.
  • Prior Tableau experience is helpful.
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite skills, including PowerPoint.
  • Epic Clinical Content Builder accreditation.
  • Epic Super User training.
  • Epic OB Navigator training.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support strategic decision-making.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management to ensure program sustainability and resource alignment.
  • Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement and relationship management across internal and external partners.

Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50–60-minute competency assessment. Pay

$98,552 - $157,683

  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires a virtual home-office environment, working remotely and will require that employees be on camera for all virtual meetings. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices.
  • Travel is required to support OCHIN’s business requirements for Go-Live installations or training which may require travel by air, vehicle, or train.

Work Location and Travel

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Travel up to 20% nationally may be required for on-site Go Live support.
