About the role

This full-time position provides day-to-day program management and clinical support for Heritage Behavioral Health Center's substance use treatment program. The substance use program provides a range of outpatient, intensive outpatient, medication-assisted recovery, and residential services for individuals with a substance use diagnosis and/or co-occurring diagnoses.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical interventions and manage a reduced caseload
  • Provide assessment, treatment planning, case management, and individual and group counseling to individuals
  • Provide case management services to ensure referral and linkage to services that support an individual's health, wellness, and recovery
  • Maintain positive relationships with referral sources and community providers
  • Collaborate with multiple internal and external providers to coordinate treatment, including direct care staff, nursing, counselors, and clinical leaders
  • Coordinate day-to-day functions of the substance use program, including oversight of daily programming
  • Directly supervise substance use program staff, including individual and group supervision and formal trainings
  • Support staff selection, training, and evaluation
  • Champion adherence to agency policies and procedures, accrediting body standards, and state/federal guidelines to improve the quality of services provided
  • Oversee completion of data management, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and monitoring of performance measures set forth by funders
  • Monitor program staffing needs, participate in hiring, and orientation and training of new staff
  • Attend program meetings within Heritage to provide collaborative care for persons served
  • Lead and participate in community-based meetings, events, forums, and coalitions to support and provide education on substance use treatment and recovery
  • Cook up communication, service provision, and relationship-building with area providers for linkage within the service area
  • Ensure all clinical activities performed by the team are compliant with organizational standards, policies, and procedures
  • Aid in ensuring client referral and linkage to programs
  • Ensure interactions with individuals and fellow staff members are supportive and respectful
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to collaborative problem-solving
  • Attend individual supervision with supervisor at a scheduled weekly time to review and report on progress, productivity, and concerns

Requirements

  • Education and experience working with individuals with substance use and mental health diagnoses
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Master's degree in a relevant human service field preferred
  • Minimally credentialed as a CADC, LPC, or LSW

Qualifications

  • Ability to engage individuals and decrease barriers to accessing treatment services
  • Knowledge of behavioral health diagnoses, including use of ASAM and DSM-5
  • Knowledge of co-occurring diagnoses and evidence-based treatment approaches
  • Knowledge of case management techniques and community resources, including psychiatric, substance use, medical, and other community services
  • Ability to mentor, teach, and develop staff to provide compassionate, person-centered treatment
  • Strengths-based approach with both clients and staff
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changes in program needs and schedule
  • Ability to navigate electronic health records
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
