Program Manager - Perinatal Services

About the Role

The Program Manager Perinatal Services leads the development and execution of perinatal nursing initiatives, collaborating with clinical leaders to implement strategies, policies, and practices that promote standardization, evidence-based care, and operational excellence across the health system.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates strategic planning, promotes perinatal initiatives, and serves as a clinical resource for problem-solving and decision-making.
• Implements safety and quality improvements using data-driven approaches, monitors KPIs, and develops corrective action plans.
• Ensures regulatory compliance, standardizes QAPI procedures, and manages project schedules and progress tracking.
• Develops tools for performance measurement, reports on project status, and supports ongoing education to meet standards of care and best practices.
• Provides leadership and training, fosters teamwork, and guides resource utilization and educational program development for staff.
• Leads quality improvement efforts, develops educational resources, ensures compliance, analyzes performance data, and fosters teamwork to enhance patient safety and service line growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in perinatal services and prior system initiative leadership.
• RN license in the relevant state.
• Certifications in Obstetric and Neonatal Quality and Safety (ONQS) and Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (C-EFM) within six months of hire.

Skills

• Knowledge of clinical care processes and healthcare regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
