About the Role

The Program Manager Nursing Education and Magnet Coordinator (RN) leads and coordinates activities related to the organization's Magnet Recognition Program. This role promotes evidence-based practice, shared governance, and professional development while collaborating with the Director Nurse Development/Magnet Program Director, nursing leadership, clinical staff, and interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Magnet standards, promoting nursing excellence, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Additional duties include leading committees and workgroups focused on nursing excellence, educating nurses and leaders on Magnet standards and best practices, and assisting with the supervision of Nursing Education staff. The role serves as a primary contact for Magnet-related activities and communication, coordinates all aspects of the Magnet Recognition Program, and manages documentation and evidence required for Magnet redesignation. The position also monitors compliance with Magnet requirements, collects and analyzes nursing quality indicators, coordinates site visits, and prepares staff for Magnet appraisers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate activities related to the Magnet Recognition Program.
  • Promote evidence-based practice, shared governance, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, clinical staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with Magnet standards.
  • Lead committees and workgroups focused on nursing excellence.
  • Educate nurses and leaders on Magnet standards and best practices.
  • Manage documentation and evidence required for Magnet redesignation.
  • Monitor compliance with Magnet requirements and organizational goals.
  • Collect, analyze, and report nursing quality indicators and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate site visits and prepare staff for Magnet appraisers.
  • Perform other Nursing Education department duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum three years of progressive nursing leadership, nursing education, or quality improvement experience.
  • Demonstrated data analysis skills and reporting proficiency.
  • Knowledge of nursing quality metrics and accreditation standards.
  • Leadership, collaboration, and change management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with the Magnet Recognition Program is highly preferred, including Magnet survey processes and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
