Program Manager IV
Location: Menlo Park, CA (Onsite) • Duration: 6 months • Pay range: $87–$97/hr
About the role
The main function of this non-IT program manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in fields such as engineering, research and development, financial systems, and product roll-out, as well as other non-IT-based projects.
About the team
A wearables demo team supporting glasses products. It runs on-site demo operations—device allocation, demo scheduling, and demo room organization—for VIPs, policymakers, and executive leadership. The team currently has one full-time employee, with the remaining consultants, including one based in London who manages the intake system.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
- Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
- Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
- Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
- Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
- Direct, review, and approve product designs and changes.
- Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.
Key projects / day-to-day responsibilities
- Manage demo operations for glasses products.
- Device allocation, demo room organization, and demo scheduling.
- Manage communications through the intake system.
- Coordinate with VIPs, policymakers, and executive leadership.
Requirements
- 8+ years of program management experience.
- Ability to build flexible systems and drive clarity across teams.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; proactive and assertive.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- PMI or PMP certification preferred.

- Strong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, etc.
Nice-to-have skills
- Experience running device/hardware demo operations.
- Experience coordinating with VIPs, policymakers, and executive leadership.
- Experience managing intake/request systems and operational processes.
