Program Manager Infrastructure, Device Discovery & Service Mapping

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Program/Project Manager to lead our Infrastructure, Device Discovery, and Service Mapping initiative. This program is currently showing signs of schedule and delivery risk. The ideal candidate will run disciplined sprint-based execution, diagnose why the program is behind, and correct course without waiting for permission to raise hard truths.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Infrastructure, Device Discovery, and Service Mapping program.
• Run disciplined Agile/Scrum ceremonies in a 2-week sprint cadence.
• Diagnose and address schedule and delivery risks, correcting course as needed.
• Validate technical work, particularly around network/device discovery and service/dependency mapping, by asking the right questions of technical leads.

Requirements

• 5+ years managing technical infrastructure or IT operations programs.
• Demonstrated experience with network/device discovery and CMDB tooling (e.g., ServiceNow Discovery, Lansweeper, Device42).
• Working familiarity with service/dependency mapping concepts and at least one mapping tool (e.g., ServiceNow Service Mapping, BMC Helix).
• Proven track record of correcting a program that was behind schedule or over budget.
• Strong written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building or validating service maps (not just managing the team that does).
• Experience with discovery protocols (SNMP, WMI, agent-based discovery).
• PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification.
