Project/Program Manager (Non-IT) 5 - Connectivity Architecture

About the role

Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) for customer- and dealer-facing connectivity solutions (cellular, satellite, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, UWB, etc.) within Cat Technology. Gather and translate Voice of Customer, Dealer, Business, and Regulatory input into functional connectivity requirements. Align marketing, system, and hardware requirements documentation.

Collaborate with enterprise technical leaders, Cat Technology, Cat Digital, engineering teams, and suppliers. Define, refine, and guide functional connectivity requirements through engineering development and execution. Contribute to technology roadmap planning and evaluate emerging connectivity technologies. Drive engineering execution, ensuring timely delivery and effective risk management.

Lead cross-functional teams via meetings, workshops, requirements definition, risk management, and engineering activities. Work across electronic components, information systems, and machine systems to develop integrated digital solutions (e.g., condition monitoring, fleet management). Communicate complex technical information across engineering teams, business units, external customers, suppliers, and possibly VP-level stakeholders.

Schedule

100% onsite role in Mossville, IL; some domestic travel (0-25%) may be required.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience (excluding internships)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Proven experience leading complex engineering/product-development programs (preferably NPI) with high-velocity execution and risk management
• Strong technical understanding of electronic components, information systems, and machine systems
• Ability to translate technical/customer needs into engineering requirements and drive them through development
• Must be comfortable leading (not just coordinating) cross-functional technical teams
