About the role
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of a designated program under the Program Director’s direction to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters. Manages all aspects of assigned programs, including schedule, performance, financials, and customer communications. This position has no direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates with internal resources (contract administration, purchasing, production, cost control, reporting, etc.) to execute established and awarded programs (proactive/planned activities). 55%
- Maintains strong customer commitment through regular communication to advise program status and resolve issues. 20%
- Responds to and manages urgent contract, production, materials, supply chain, and other issues as they arise (reactive activities). 10%
- Develops proposals and pricing strategies to compete for and win new contracts. 10%
- Handles special projects as needed. 5%
Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Delegates work assignments, matches responsibility to the person, and monitors progress.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Project, SAP, and other software programs.
- Responds promptly to internal and external customer needs while maintaining confidentiality.
- Experienced negotiator with strong listening, clarification, and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to edit work for spelling and grammar, present numerical data effectively, and read/interpret written information.
- Government Secret Clearance may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a technical field (required).
- 2+ years of management/leadership experience (required).
- Valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license (with gold or black star) or current passport (required).
- Successful completion of background screening process.
- Great attitude and team-player mentality.
- May be required to satisfy additional job-related requirements, including those established by third parties.

Pay
Salary range: $86,160 – $129,240. Final offer may vary based on experience and geographic location. Specific programs and options depend on hire date, schedule type, and collective bargaining agreements.
