About the role

Our client located in Irvine is a leading EV/AV charging company that is rapidly growing. They are urgently seeking a Sr. Program Manager that will manage operational aspects of ongoing sales projects and field issues. Candidates being considered will need to demonstrate their skills with PM tools for project controls and possess extensive technical and project management experience with various design as well as design-build (or EPC) projects with an exceptional track record of successful execution. Serving as liaison among sales account managers, external customers, engineering, supply chain and production to deliver solutions. We seek a professional who provides strategic vision, the ability to manage projects in accordance with timelines, funding limitations and procedures for accomplishing the project. Strong knowledge of stakeholder analysis and engagement will help deliver business results to the clients. This position will collaborate with but not limited to the Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Warehouse, Production and Operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Leads customer engagement to ensure that it meets all scope, time, and quality expectations, through planning, controlling and managing customer projects
  • Supports multi-channel efforts to plan, sell and implement solutions to customer problems
  • Provides innovative solutions to complex and critically sensitive issues affecting multiple disciplines and work groups. Determines and pursues courses of action essential in accomplishing objectives.
  • Identify and resolve obstacles to completing project on time and to budget. Adhere to internal and external quality standards.
  • Monitor and report on the status of project requirements and milestones utilizing Gantt charts and similar tools.
  • Organize project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules, and resolve resource requirements.
  • You will work under minimal supervision and independently handle complex issues while referring only the more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Coordinate across multiple teams to solve problems as they arise.
  • Support select programs and accounts as needs arise, including tracking and reporting progress, preparing presentation materials, etc.
  • Create and utilize reporting and business case analytics to track and illustrate progress towards contract fulfillment.
  • Represent Sales Operations in planning meetings, when needed
  • Ability to Multi-Task and manage multiple initiatives without compromising schedules or commitments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or substantial technical experience in power products required
  • PMP or PMI Certification strongly preferred
  • 4+ years of project/program management (8+ years strongly preferred)
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Demonstrated customer-facing experience that has delivered results
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with many teams and multi-task with a sense of urgency
  • Proactive communication style (verbal and written)
  • Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and resourcefulness
  • Strong planning, interpersonal, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adeptly manage relationships from a distance, internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
