About the role

Serve as an A/E Program Manager leading the overall planning, execution, and risk management of complex acquisition projects.

Facilitate project teams through acquisition management processes.

Career Development: Direct strategic planning for local, regional, and nationwide acquisition programs while providing critical budget inputs to senior management.

Manage multi-location, multi-agency projects complicated by overlapping interests and strict regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project milestones, budgets, and fund allocations throughout a project lifecycle.
  • Participate in strategic planning for local, regional, and national programs, ensuring all intermediate designs and technical products strictly comply with Federal regulations, policies, and quality standards.
  • Analyze cost reports and monitor performance metrics of multi-disciplinary engineering design teams implementing corrective actions to maintain technical project baselines.
  • Review cost reports, resolve unauthorized charges, and forecast budget/schedule trends to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams, implementing Government policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Conditions of employment: Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Financial Disclosure (OGE-450) is required upon appointment and annually thereafter.
  • Qualifications: One year of specialized experience which includes 1.) planning and coordinating major contract acquisition projects for major programs such as civil works, planning, and/or military construction; 2.) facilitating project team decisions through consensus; 3.) writing Performance Work Statements and scopes of work for firm-fixed price and/or cost-reimbursable contracts; 4.) overseeing project milestones, budgets, and fund allocations throughout a project lifecycle; and 5.) participating in strategic planning for local, regional, and national programs, ensuring all intermediate designs and technical products strictly comply with Federal regulations, policies, and quality standards.
