About the role
Vista Community Clinic (VCC) is a private, non-profit, multi-specialty outpatient clinic dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. We are seeking a dynamic individual to manage and oversee various programs at our clinics.
Responsibilities
- Manage one or more programs, contributing to their development, design, and implementation.
- Supervise all aspects of program operations, including hiring, firing, promoting, training, evaluating, and directing the work of designated staff.
- Provide direct supervision of project staff, including personnel administration, work assignments, recruitment and hiring, evaluations, disciplinary action, and training activities.
- Oversee the administration and implementation of project work plans and budgets.
- Schedule and facilitate regular staff meetings.
- Attend clinic meetings as required.
- Responsible for budget tracking, fiscal accounting, and ensuring program expenses are allowable within contract terms.
- Responsible for recommending and generating budget revisions and justifications.
- Responsible for internal and external program reporting, such as progress and final reports.
- Oversee the completion of program objectives and make changes in scope as needed or appropriate.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and completion of the evaluation process.
- Prepare training curriculum and provide ongoing training for project staff, clinic staff, and program participants as required.
- In coordination with the clinic's public relations staff, develop press releases and promotional materials as needed.
- Participate in the grant writing team, capable of working independently on assigned sections of the proposal.
- Report any unusual occurrences or incidents to supervisor and clinic administration.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field.
- Experience managing grants and knowledge/interest/experience in outreach and migrant health.
- Valid California driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Preferred Bachelor's degree with minimum two years' related experience or Master's degree in Public Health or related field.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of available local community resources and government, community health centers, public assistance programs, and state/federal regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, spreadsheet, desktop publishing programs, and business email communication systems.
