About the role

StoneX is looking to recruit a Program Manager to support the Securities Operations business, based in Birmingham, Alabama. The successful candidate will lead complex, large-scale technical program deliveries spanning multiple geographies, business units, and platforms across the securities post-trade lifecycle. This role drives a strategic, multi-year transformation program modernizing StoneX’s unified securities backbone (including platforms such as BETA, RTS, NIRA, and OrderHub), advancing the Global Middle Office target operating model, and delivering real-time settlement capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Define program scope and objectives across the trade lifecycle—order management, execution, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting—with Securities Operations, Product, commercial teams, and senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams and solution architects to build out agreed scope, define requirements, and create robust delivery plans across the securities platform estate (BETA, RTS, NIRA, OrderHub, and related systems).
  • Define projects and features within the program, ensuring consensus on the most efficient way to deliver value quickly.
  • Monitor and assess program performance, overseeing delivery of projects to ensure completion on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Ensure clarity on program tasks, timelines, methods, and responsibilities for all team members.
  • Identify, track, and monitor dependencies across platforms, the Global Middle Office, and downstream operations teams.
  • Secure resource commitment and hold teams accountable for delivery.
  • Identify high-level risks and issues, tracking them to resolution and escalating as needed.
  • Partner with Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology to embed regulatory and control requirements in delivery.
  • Report on program progress, including spend to date (hours and dollars).
  • Communicate program progress clearly and concisely to sponsors and steering committees at regular intervals.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and EPMO team members.
  • Address and resolve differences between individuals and/or interest groups.

Requirements

  • Professional qualification in project/program management (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or MSP) is preferred.
  • 7+ years of full-time program management experience or equivalent.
  • Proven success delivering large, complex change initiatives at the program level, ideally in financial services with budgets over $2M or 10,000 person-days.
  • Knowledge of securities operations and the post-trade lifecycle (order management, execution, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting) is required.
  • Familiarity with securities platforms such as BETA, RTS, NIRA, OrderHub, or comparable clearing, settlement, and middle-office systems.
  • Experience working with internal teams of 50+ people across multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Strong collaboration skills—results-driven, inclusive, and leading by example to bring out the best in teams.
  • Ability to build support and achieve intended outcomes with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of complex technical ecosystems and financial services is preferred.
  • Direct experience working with IT development teams, platforms, and solution architects.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the capability to manage diverse teams.
  • Ability to master and navigate new subject domains quickly.
  • Confidence communicating with C-suites and technical delivery teams.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • A background in business analysis is an advantage.

Schedule

Hybrid (4 days in office per week).

Pay

Hiring salary range: $125,000 – $170,000 per year, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, and market alignment. Subject to business performance, the role may be eligible for an incentive compensation plan. A full range of medical, financial, and other benefits is offered.
