Key Duties And Responsibilites
- Partner with other team members on the M&A and AI teams to evaluate transactions as they come live.
- Collaborate with key SEI departments to develop comprehensive integration plans for all the integration phases; the plans include preparation for change in control (take possession of the assets), plans for running stores prior to remodel and coordinating remodel/rebranding activities.
- Upon transaction signing date, execute these plans by leading key departments (Operations, Human Resources, Field Training, Merchandising & Fresh Food, Information Technology, Logistics, Marketing, Licensing, Gasoline, Accounting, Treasury, A&E, Delivery/Digital and Construction, etc.) and verifying they are on-track, on-schedule, on-budget and accountable.
- Acquisition Integration serves as single point of contact for acquisition related questions and ensures alignment between M&A, Operations, and all key stakeholders.
- The role also coordinates all relevant SSC stakeholders during company sanctioned divestment activities. This includes Managing the divest process to 3rd party operators
Education And Experience
- EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree
- YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 7+ years
- YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 5+ years
Specific Knowledge And Skills
- Leadership: Champions change and motivates self and others. Influence management and drive results in keeping multiple departments working cohesively. The role requires individuals to be organized and manage/lead multiple projects at longer stretches. Maintains strong cross-functional relationships.
- Communication: Strong listening, verbal and writing skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with store-level hourly employees to Senior VPs. Courageous in sharing fact-based opinion while maintaining curiosity to assess opportunities for improvement
- Knowledge: Basic and broad knowledge of 7-Eleven store operations, 7-Eleven departmental roles/responsibilities and understanding site plans, floor plans and blueprints.
- Planning & Organization: Adhere to tight timelines, flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and keep track of the smallest details, for multiple projects
- Information Technology: Basic knowledge of store infrastructure (firewalls, switches, internet, cabling, routers, point of sale registers, back-office systems, servers, etc.).
- Problem Solving and Analytics: analyze and recommend solutions to issues that do not fall cleanly under specific department responsibility; willing and able to develop the knowledge necessary to effectuate an opinion and/or recommendation and challenge others effectively to ensure the proper integration solutions are chosen.
- Computer: strong MS Excel acumen and moderate proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams and Smartsheets. Rudimentary knowledge of Mapping and/or GIS programs. CAD and MS Project a plus.
- Learning: Ability and desire to learn new business models as the M&A and Acquisition Integration team often evaluate opportunities for the future of 7-Eleven.
