Responsibilities
- Assists with all hands-on direct care which includes but not limited to: showering, toileting, shaving, brushing teeth, meal-time assistance
- Handles all aspects of staffing; scheduling, on-call, training, supervision and relationship management
- Case Management; develops and implements all aspects of ISPs, schedules medical appointments, program and clinical reviews
- Completes or delegates the completion of administrative tasks, including but not limited to: staff payroll, updating of manuals and approval/ reconciliation of petty cash funds, house accounts and representative payee accounts
- Counsels and supervises the teaching of activities of daily living, including but not limited to: social skills, personal routines, financial management
- Serves as a liaison between Agency and the individuals’ family, friends and guardians
- Implements and oversees the implementation of behavioral interventions
- Implements and oversees the implementation of emergency procedures that ensure the safety of the individuals, both in the home and within the community
- Administers and oversees the timely and accurate administration and documentation of administration of medication(s)
- Maintains a physically safe work environment and reports work related injuries/incidents to Human Resources in a timely manner
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Experience managing a group home
- Experience working with Individuals with ID/DD
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; related experience preferred
- Must be able to pass Fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and Driving background checks
- Valid Driver's License required
- Valid MAP certification is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
