About the role

The Program Management Specialist supports the Office of Continuing Education and External Programs, focusing on the development, implementation, and management of non-credit academic programs, dual enrollment, and continuing education students. They also assist in enhancing student success and institutional growth through various initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and maintains existing programs and develops new programs.
  • Maintains program logistics, manages enrollment, and provides student advising.
  • Organizes and facilitates meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to program initiatives.
  • Prepares reports, presentations, and promotional materials for program visibility and evaluation.
  • Develops and documents processes to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collects and analyzes data to assess program impact and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Works with University Relations, Marketing Office, and Communications Office to develop, implement, and advertise continuing education programs.
  • Identifies strategic opportunities to meet regional learning needs in Business, Government, Organizations, and Communities.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership, faculty, students, and external organizations to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Manages multiple, complex, cross-program initiatives simultaneously, creating effective plans to manage interdependencies.
  • Maintains records and enrollment data pertaining to program activities.
  • Oversees daily operations and coordinates the activities of the program, setting priorities for managing the program.
  • Conducts day-to-day operations of programs and activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a management role, preferably in program or project management.
  • Three (3) years of related experience, preferably within a college or university.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft software.
  • Event management and community outreach experience.
