About the role
The Program Facilitator at CoreCivic conducts various programs in a group setting for inmates/residents in residential and non-residential programs. They interview and assess prospective program participants to determine their individual and group needs, implement programs, and maintain a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Interviews and assesses prospective program participants to determine individual and group needs.
- Implements a wide range of programs, including conducting workshops and group activities.
- Facilitates group discussions, lectures, demonstrations, and uses audio and visual aids to supplement program curriculum.
- Follows standard curriculum for the program and supervises all program activity.
- Collaborates with other staff and departments to coordinate admissions, evaluations, program completion, and termination information.
- Maintains and monitors confidentiality of inmates/residents and administrative files.
- Evaluates progress of assigned inmates/residents and reviews status to ensure programs are completed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent is required.
- Sixty (60) credit hours of college coursework is required.
- Experience facilitating and delivering programs related to work assignment may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience with custody and control of inmates/residents is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
