Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the RN-BSN program.
- Support the Assistant Vice President of Health Professions in supervising and evaluating faculty, initiating and coordinating course offerings and instructor assignments, and assisting with the planning and delivery of adjunct faculty orientation.
- Ensure that all program components comply with applicable accreditation standards and federal and state regulations.
- Teach not more than nine (9) credit hours as needed each semester.
- Assist in the preparation of the budget for the RN-BSN program.
- Order and maintain necessary instructional equipment and supplies.
- Participate in enrollment management activities and share professional expertise with colleagues and students beyond the classroom.
- Recruit and participate with the advisory committee for the ASN/RN-BSN Programs.
- Perform additional faculty job requirements as required by specialized and accredited programs (ACEN).
- Resolve discipline problems within the sphere of responsibility.
Qualifications
- Masters of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Active, unencumbered Compact RN License.
- Three (3) years of asynchronous, higher education teaching experience.
- Possess knowledge of general written standards and procedures utilized, and have the ability to read, interpret, and follow procedural and policy manuals related to the job tasks.
- Adhere to all workplace safety rules, safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices.
- Ability to work various hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends.
- Ability to travel amongst various campuses and attend College events, on or off campus, as required.
