About the role
The Program Director is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of educational programs. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, engaging, and accessible courses that meet institutional standards and support student success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Programs: Design and oversee the creation of courses and programs that align with the institution's goals and standards.
- Monitor and Evaluate Program Effectiveness: Continuously assess the quality and effectiveness of courses, making necessary adjustments to improve student outcomes.
- Collaborate with Faculty and Staff: Work closely with educators and administrative staff to ensure the successful delivery and support of programs.
- Ensure Compliance and Accessibility: Ensure that all programs meet accreditation standards and are accessible to all students, including those with disabilities.
- Manage Budgets and Resources: Oversee the financial aspects of programs, including budgeting, resource allocation, and securing funding.
- Oversee Regional Operations: Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the education programs across multiple geographic regions, ensuring consistency in execution, compliance, and performance outcomes.
- Analyze and Respond to Regional Market Trends: Monitor regional enrollment data, demographic shifts, and market dynamics to adjust recruitment strategies and optimize outreach efforts tailored to specific populations.
- Support Cross-Regional Collaboration and Best Practices: Facilitate communication and collaboration among the program's teams, sharing insights, standardizing best practices, and aligning efforts with institutional goals and regional needs.
- Lead with Care: Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of wellness, recognition, and engagement. Meet regularly with direct reports in one-on-one and group settings to provide feedback and cultivate/maintain a positive work culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Must have a minimum of two years teaching experience as a Level B instructor.
- Be certified as a Florida paramedic in good standing with the department, with at least four years field level provider experience in the pre-hospital environment with an ALS provider.
- Must have at least two years teaching experience in EMS education.
- Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.
Qualifications
- Any advanced degree or equivalent experience and/or strong or advanced proficiency in any of the above required skills/experience.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
- Other skills or abilities – Learning Management System (LMS), emerging education technologies, education program strategic planning and market analysis.
- Compliance: Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and internal policies and procedures.

Pay
Anticipated Starting Salary Is Based On Experience And Qualifications. Compensation Range $81,500—$85,000 USD
Schedule
This position is an onsite position at UMA's ground campus. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
