Program Coordinator, TCU Global (International Programs)
About the Role
TCU Global supports all undergraduate student programs abroad and away, as well as graduate students, faculty, and staff engaged in international experiences. TCU Global Program Coordinators serve as the first contact for students going abroad. They are responsible for providing student-centric, professional, and engaged advising to support student success. Program Coordinators assist students in identifying opportunities for study abroad while fulfilling their graduation requirements and achieving career, personal, and educational goals. They work directly with students, faculty, departments, and schools to ensure that undergraduate courses offered abroad are approved for TCU credit. The Program Coordinator provides administrative support to all TCU Global programs and coordinates pre-departure preparations, including orientations, advising, departmental marketing, and critical situation support for students, parents, and stakeholders. The role may include overseas site visits for program orientations and evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Act as an advisor for TCU Global programs, including semester, summer, and faculty-led programs. Responsibilities include creating advising calendars, curating online advising content, updating the TCU Calendar, and advising students on available programs.
- Coordinate and manage events and presentations, such as information sessions, tabling events, TCU Admission events, classroom presentations, TCU Orientation, pre-departure mixers, and reentry receptions.
- Assist with the Study Abroad Fair and other TCU Global initiatives.
- Manage TCU Global marketing, including creating a social media calendar, organizing a brand kit, producing content for webpages, printed brochures, Instagram, advertisements, and tabling events, and managing Social Media Ambassadors.
- Serve as the staff advisor for the TCU Global Ambassadors student organization.
- Assist with the development and coordination of TCU’s global learning initiatives through pre-departure orientations.
- Perform partner institution visitations for on-site orientations and program evaluations.
- Review current application materials for relevance, program requirements, and accessible design.
- Evaluate program popularity using attendance statistics and feedback surveys, and make recommendations for improvements, new opportunities, or addressing student concerns.
- Work with the TCU Global team to evaluate program accessibility and representation of student diversity abroad, supporting study abroad accessibility through financial advising, cross-departmental collaboration, and peer-to-peer outreach.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant work experience in international programs or in a higher education environment with responsibilities in program development or program administration, OR Master’s degree and 1 year of relevant work experience in international programs or in a higher education environment with responsibilities in program development or program administration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in higher education or a relevant discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in international programming or a relevant field in higher education.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to manage the physical demands of domestic and international travel, including lifting heavy luggage, climbing stairs, walking long distances, and enduring lengthy flights.
- Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms, and printed materials.
- Clear speech for effective communication via telephone and in-person interactions.
- Hearing ability for verbal communication and responses.
- Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing, reaching, and flexibility for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling, and prolonged sitting.
- Ability to lift and move objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.
Work Environment
- Irregular and long work hours may be required for incident response or business-related travel.
- Ability to meet domestic and international travel requirements, including compliance with health and safety protocols and entry/exit requirements for international locations.
- Work is primarily indoors, sedentary, and subject to schedule changes or variable work hours.
- This is an on-campus, in-person position with some travel required.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
