About the Role
Missouri's Parent Education Program is a voluntary parent education program offered through local school districts, serving families who are expecting a child or have children under the age of kindergarten entry. The program helps establish positive partnerships between home, school, and the community and plays a vital role in supporting families and children from the very beginning toward school readiness.
Responsibilities
- Supervise parent education home visiting staff.
- Provide programmatic oversight of school districts implementing the parent education home visiting program.
- Conduct programmatic collection and interpretation of program data to support the performance of the parent education home visiting programs.
- Coordinate the process to receive, approve, and process Compliance Plans, Invoices, and Final Reporting from parent education home visiting programs and contractors.
- Maintain familiarity with Parents as Teachers® National Center trainings, resources, and national model programming.
- Collaborate with the Missouri Parent Education Program Support contractor and the Missouri Parents as Teachers Association (MOPATA) to support parent education home visiting.
- Coordinate professional development, training, and resources through contracted providers.
- Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in education, early childhood, social/human services, or a closely related field with one or more years in a leadership or supervisory position.
- OR five or more years of professional or technical experience in administration, education, human services, or a related field, or other experience that contributes directly to the understanding of activities of this assignment; with one or more years in a leadership or supervisory position.
