Position Objective
Directly supports the Chair, Program Director and Executive Director, GME, with the operational and financial aspects of the training program by ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, accreditation requirements, and hospital and GME policies.
Essential Job Duties
- Provides direct support to the Chair, Program Director(s) and Executive Director, Academic Affairs, including 1) the collection, maintenance and reporting of program data to include: duty hours, procedure logs, evaluations, policies, surveys, and trainee files, 2) budget and resource planning, and 3) faculty development.
- Provides direct support to the house staff for all administrative needs.
- Manages the accreditation site visits for the educational program to include annual, electronic updates and onsite visits. Prepares, organizes and submits documentation as requested. Participates in onsite visits.
- Maintains and maximizes the use of the Residency Management System (RMS) as a portfolio for the trainees and an accreditation tool for the program to include: management of demographics, scheduling, curriculum, conferences, evaluations, scholarly activity, duty hours and all reporting.
- Captures and organizes the recruitment process for house staff to include managing applications, scheduling interviews, reserving rooms and meeting space(s), meeting match deadlines and onboarding/orienting house staff. Also coordinates onboarding for visiting house staff, students and observers.
- Organizes the house staff curriculum, rotation/block schedules, call schedules and conference schedules and maintains attendance.
- Plans and coordinates departmental events for GME to include recruitment, orientation, graduation, retreats, faculty development and other program-related activity.
- Covers and proctors exams, including the in-training and mock oral exams, and monitors house staff compliance with learning resources including Truelearn, IHI, AMA GME Competency programs.
- Arranges, organizes and supports the full departmental evaluation process for the trainees, program, faculty and rotations to include regular evaluation processes, the Clinical Competency Committee and Program Evaluation Committee. Takes and maintains minutes for the Committee meetings.
- Maintains and updates the program website and other electronic resources.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Three years of experience in healthcare preferred.
- Three years of experience in healthcare working in a residency program preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Eight years of healthcare experience can be substituted for the required education.
Required Licenses/Certifications

Pay Range
$87,163.36—$104,041.60 USD
