About the role
This position provides administrative support for the USDA-funded Innovative Agriculture and Marketing Project for Idaho (I-AMP Idaho), a major University of Idaho research initiative involving multiple funded and supporting partners.
Responsibilities
- Serves as primary contact with program participants, customer service and office support functions
- Facilitates communication between program participants and managerial staff
- Covers arrangements for the program such as meetings, conferences and banquets
- Collects, compiles and summarizes program data and manages records
- Maintains program calendars and schedules
- Utilizes University programs to create, review and approval financial documents and to provide routine financial reports to the program administrator
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills
- Master’s degree or other advanced degree in agriculture, natural resources, rural development, marketing, or a closely related field
- Experience working within a land-grant university Extension system and supporting project leadership as part of a collaborative team
- Experience coordinating or managing inter-institutional and interdisciplinary projects
- Experience with production agriculture, agricultural businesses, or agricultural supply chains
- Experience developing, designing, or formatting print and electronic communications, outreach, or promotional materials
