About the role
Responsible for assisting a Program Director in accomplishing the mission of a major client program to expand the business unit through successful project management. Assists in project management through all phases of Commissioning levels 1-5.
Responsibilities
- Acts as Competent Person managing safety on the projects under their control.
- Ensures project-specific safety training is completed and JHAs are performed.
- Conducts and records weekly toolbox training.
- Utilizes company’s accounting, project management, and resource planning systems to forecast project requirements and billing projections, as well as expenses.
- Manages financial aspects including accounts payable, receivable, revenue projections, and project closeout.
- Manages budgeting process including estimating, value engineering, and managing client expectations.
- Determines how money will be spent to accomplish the Scope Of Work (SOW) and advises clients of potential change orders.
- Identifies and addresses variances between SOW and actual expenditures.
- Creates and manages milestone schedules, SOVs, and as-built documentation.
- Manages multiple project resources including field technical staff.
- Collaborates with internal and external teams to ensure project success.
- Represents company interests in delivering services according to contractual requirements and company standards.
- Maintains positive communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Manages diverse Cx levels across projects and follow-on projects to achieve the SOW and budget.
- Expands current service offerings for clients.
- Participates in professional development and business development functions.
- Develops positive working relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- First responder certification (first aid + CPR).
- OSHA 30 or local jurisdiction equivalent training.
- NFPA 70E - Arc flash training.
- Code of ethics training.
- Additional safety training.
- Knowledge of contracts and Scope Of Work (SOW).
- Time management, active listening, critical thinking, problem-solving, oral and written communication, and familiarity with psychrometric charts and industry technical concepts.
- Ability to travel by car and airplane, up to 2 contiguous weeks, not exceeding 50% of annual occupational hours.
