Program Coordinator, Annual Giving

This role supports the management of Annual Giving’s internal partnerships and multi-channel fundraising campaigns, helping secure new, recurring, and upgraded gifts under $25,000. Through collaboration with school, college, and unit (SCU) Advancement teams, student groups, staff, and faculty, this position contributes to fundraising efforts that highlight philanthropic opportunities at CU Boulder. This is an entry-level role designed to provide a pathway for a successful career in fundraising and relationship management.
About the Team
The Annual Giving team is a centralized unit at CU Boulder focused on creating and driving fundraising strategies to acquire, retain, and upgrade entry-level and mid-level donors, moving them through the major gift continuum. The team prioritizes ethical data collection and use, adhering to best practices and championing a donor-first philosophy for gifts under $25,000 in support of CU Boulder’s short- and long-term priorities.
Responsibilities
Campus Support
- Manages the campus-wide crowdfunding program, including identifying campaign opportunities and supporting projects from inception to completion.
- Maintains working relationships with campus partners to facilitate affinity-based fundraising opportunities.
- Supports multi-channel annual giving campaigns incorporating segmented content and/or audiences based on SCU affiliation.
- Supervises industry trends related to community fundraising and documents opportunities to implement standard processes at CU Boulder.
Annual Giving
- Participates in the implementation of baseline Annual Giving activities shared across CU, as outlined in the Annual Giving Memorandum of Understanding.
- Collaborates with colleagues across Advancement to achieve a cohesive approach to annual giving strategies and processes.
- Supports the pursuit of CU Boulder’s Annual Giving key performance indicators.
- Reviews the effectiveness of Annual Giving programs under the guidance of the Director of Annual Giving – Broad-based Fundraising and suggests modifications and improvements.
Data and Reporting
- Requests and organizes data to provide lists, segments, analysis, and reports supporting campus projects.
- Ensures the on-time and accurate delivery of data files and reports to internal and external partners.
- Supports the development and distribution of regular reports enabling Annual Giving and Advancement leadership to monitor, review, and celebrate fundraising activities.
- Assists CU Boulder Annual Giving with data-driven decisions and analysis.
Work Context
- This position may require local, regional, and out-of-state travel to engage with university constituents.
- This is a remote position but will require travel to campus several times a year.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
- 1+ years of professional, job-related experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Salesforce, Teams, and Asana.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in or understanding of a non-profit or higher education environment.

- Experience with crowdfunding software, GiveCampus preferred.
- Experience working successfully in a fully remote or hybrid work environment, demonstrating strong self-management, collaboration, and communication skills.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $57,000 - $62,000 annually. Relocation assistance is available within Advancement guidelines.
