Essential Job Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the congregate lunch program, ensuring compliance with proper sanitation and food handling procedures.
- Ensures compliance with all Allegheny County Health Department and Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging requirements for nutrition services.
- Manage lunch service volunteers.
- Affords assistance with planning and implementing Senior Center events and recreational activities as needed.
- Inputs daily lunch data into CoPilot Database.
- Assists with Arbor café inventory.
- Provides receptionist coverage and other coverage as needed/assigned.
General Assignments
- Models the organization’s mission and values.
- Records time and attendance via Human Resources Information Systems and Timekeeping system as applicable.
- Attends meetings/training as requested/required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, computer/laptop, tablet and cell phone required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, preferred.
- Must be able to relate to seniors.
- Strong computer skills along with effective communication both verbally and in writing.
- Supports the organization’s mission along with sensitivity of cultural and workplace harmony.
- Ability to manage confidential information.
- Succumbs to Allegheny County food certification course successfully.
Working Conditions
- This position is based at the Vintage location.
- At times it may be necessary to travel to other Familylinks locations for training and meetings.
