Essential Functions
- Oversee the procurement and inventory of in-kind donations.
- Complete reporting for in-kind donations.
- Manage the corps food pantry, Salvation Army daily food market, holiday meal program and other programs as requested.
- Oversee intake for food programs.
- Ensure daily pickups for food donations are made.
- Assist with the cooling and warming center as needed.
- Actively recruit, orient and manage volunteers to support food programs.
- Work with Corps Officer(s) to achieve goals of the corps strategic plan.
- Assist with Christmas Food Pantry.
- Assist with Christmas Kettles and Angel Tree Operations.
- Implement strategies that build awareness of the corps as an active and vital member of the Jefferson City Community.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with Safe From Harm guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent with program coordination experience.
- Combination of training and experience will be considered.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a working knowledge of computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, database and e-mail.
- Must be a team player, self-starter, able to handle several projects at the same time and perform well with minimum supervision.
- Ability to efficiently and effectively manage several projects at one time.
- Ability to think independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure, especially during the Christmas Campaign.
- Able to work additional hours as needed (i.e. during the Christmas campaign).
Physical and Working Conditions
- Must be capable of performing the above essential duties in an office environment to include: using a computer, answering phones, etc.
- Most work will be indoors in a temperature-controlled environment.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
