Job Summary

Apart from occasional baking for special Centre events and family visits, the Centre Cook prepares fresh, wholesome meals for children and educators each day. The role involves ensuring safety for children with different allergies, food intolerances, and dietary requirements, following recipe guides and meal planners provided by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepares fresh, wholesome meals for children and educators each day
• Occasionally bakes treats for special Centre events and family visits
• Ensures safety for children with different allergies, food intolerances, and dietary requirements
• Follows recipe guides and meal planners provided by leadership
• Orders all produce within set food budgets
• Completes all food safe paperwork
• Keeps a presentable, clean, and safe kitchen at all times
• Maintains a warm and friendly disposition to make everyone feel welcome
• Manages time effectively and can multitask

Requirements

• Passion for cooking healthy meals and catering to children's needs
• Understanding of catering to different allergies, food intolerances, and dietary requirements
• Good time management and multitasking skills
• Warm and friendly disposition

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role preferred
• Knowledge of food safety regulations
