Program Assistant - Athletics Dining Program
About the role
The Program Assistant – Athletics Dining Program reports to the General Manager and assists the Don James Center Training Table management team with administrative and operational support in a dynamic food service environment. The position plays a crucial role in providing nutritionally optimal meals and a consistent dining experience for athletes and coaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Support - 40%
- Act as point of contact for general support to unit employees, internal and external customers, vendors, etc.
- Document, implement, interpret and communicate procedures, work methods, forms, schedules and job priorities to meet the business needs of the leadership team.
- Support unit operations and communicate program-specific policies and procedures to employees, customers and guests.
- Administrative Support - 30%
- Update signage, including menu and pricing boards.
- Ensure that appropriate files, records and databases are maintained.
- Perform and coordinate data input into CBORD FSS system following established protocols, including orders, invoices, inventory, transfers and service menus.
- Identify and escalate suspected errors or issues to manager or Dining Systems.
- Student Employee Scheduling + Onboarding - 30%
- Under the direction of the managers, support student employment processes by assisting with orientation, training, and scheduling functions.
- Supports tasks associated with student hiring, training, onboarding and scheduling coverage.
- Track new hires to ensure they receive the prescribed orientation, training and evaluations.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent AND Two years of clerical experience.
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
- Demonstrates competence to direct staff, prioritize work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of staff and customers.
- Must have knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation, Benefits And Position Details
Pay Range: Minimum $45,144.00 annual, Maximum $55,824.00 annual.
