About the Role

This position provides professional-level marketing support to the CCBC HVAC Technology Program and other Engineering Technology-related programs under the Johnson Controls International (JCI) College Partnership Grant.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Marketing, Art and Design, Public Relations, Communication Arts, or similar field and two (2) years’ experience in marketing, communications, outreach, customer service, or administrative support or a Bachelor’s degree in the same fields (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Experience in higher education promoting academic programs preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe suite of products, social media, print media, and promotional products preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications; must complete and pass Microsoft testing modules for Word and Excel and demonstrate the ability to type 30 wpm.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop marketing strategies to promote the JCI-CCBC partnership, high-tech/high-paying career opportunities in HVAC Technology and Engineering Technology, scholarships, and student incentives.
  • Assist with special events, workshops, and professional development activities, including communications, arranging speakers, and taking photos.
  • Maintain student attendance records at events to ensure appropriate awarding of grant-funded incentives.
  • Post content to social media and communicate grant-related activities to current and potential students, JCI partners, and Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) partners.
  • Support Marketing Communications staff in the development of grant-related marketing and promotional materials.
  • Be a flexible, team player with high energy and attention to detail.
  • Other duties as assigned.
