About the role
Supports the College’s Frances M. Franklin Academic Alliance with wrap-around support services and resources for students from low to moderate income backgrounds. Coordinates student workshops, plans meetings, and develops communications with students, faculty, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provides support to the Academic Alliance program activity and community engagement programs, monitors goals and status of participating students, and monitors implementation of community development activities/resources.
- Serves as a liaison between the College and external partners to administer programs and services.
- Serves as a liaison between the College and external partners to meet common objectives to support student success.
- Provides additional support to current and perspective Academic Alliance students to connect them to College resources and programs.
- Supports and updates team members in the research and development of strategic initiatives related to access, community outreach, and student retention support programs.
- Facilitates effective communication and collaboration within the College amongst faculty, staff, administration, and students.
- Maintains and coordinates an effective and efficient data management process that guides strategic direction, decision-making, and resource development for the division and its programs.
- Works collaboratively with department to identify resources for program development, delivery, and sustainability.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
- Significant related experience may substitute for education.
- Minimum of two years of demonstrated office or program support experience.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in a role requiring dynamic and abstract problem-solving methods in adaptive situations.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of administrative support concepts, practices and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Intermediate Banner System skills (or equivalent program).
- Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently.
- Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive and private matters.
- Adequate attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Flexibility to work a flexible schedule to accommodate departmental needs.
- Sensitivity to the needs of students and the community.
