Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm; plus 8 weekend hours per month
Pay
$15.50 and up per hour (more based on verifiable caregiving experience). Daily pay available.
About the role
Aides provide assistance to elderly participants with activities of daily living, recreational activities, and personal care services in our Adult Day Center and, as needed, in participants’ homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist elderly participants with activities of daily living
- Engage participants in recreational activities
- Perform personal care services
- Follow non-technical verbal and written directions
- Record messages and maintain records
- Build rapport and gain cooperation of participants
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Caregiving experience with a frail or elderly population preferred
Skills
- Discretion, tact, patience, and good judgment
- Empathetic and compassionate attitude
- Physical and emotional ability to carry out assigned tasks
