About the role
The Program Administrator reports to the Program Director of Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) and works as a member of a team to provide comprehensive pre-collegiate/dropout prevention services to sixth through twelfth grade students attending LPP partner schools. The primary responsibilities include individual and group case management, academic services, planning enrichment trips, development and implementation of college, workforce, and life skill workshops, development and supervision of a high school/college mentoring program, and providing guidance to volunteers, tutors, and seasonal staff. This position may require evening and weekend hours.
Responsibilities
- Develops, plans, implements, and supervises year-round programming and events to help students meet academic and social standards.
- Reviews and assesses the social/emotional and academic needs of students to refer students to appropriate LPP services.
- Collaborates with school liaisons, community partners, and university departments for the maintenance and/or development of programs and events.
- Provides guidance to student interns, volunteers, tutors, and seasonal staff to ensure effective engagement with students and parents.
- Aids students in preparing for high school, college, scholarships/financial aid applications, and/or required educational documents.
- Develops and implements workshops to educate families, students, and/or school staff on relevant issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with underserved youth in a school or youth development setting with particular emphasis on grades 6-12
- Experience with facilitating workshops and groups
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in education, social work, or counseling
- Bilingual, Spanish
