About the role

The Freeman School of Business at Tulane University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure system faculty position in Accounting. The appointment — at the rank of Professor of Practice — may be for one, two, or three years, beginning July 1, 2026. Salary, teaching load, and benefits are competitive with other major research institutions. Hiring for this position is subject to final budgetary approval by the University.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous undergraduate and graduate courses, often with an experiential learning focus.
• Be actively involved in their field through professional and scholarly activities.
• Contribute to service to the Freeman School and Tulane University.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge and classroom experience across the accounting curriculum.
• Prior experience teaching Auditing and Advanced Financial Accounting is highly valued.

Qualifications

• A PhD in Accounting or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant teaching experience.
• Strong commitment to experiential learning and professional development.
